Dear Ohm Well Community,

The Ohm Well began in 2015 as I was still a full-time City Planner with the City of New Orleans. I balanced my day job and yoga as long as I could until my spirit called me to make a choice.

I left work in July of 2016 to give birth to my business – and found out a few months later that I would be giving birth to my daughter Marley. It”s definitely amazing what we can create and give birth to when we create space for it!

I am so thankful for each of you that come out to our classes, workshops, trainings, send emails and comment on our social media pages. Humbled by all of the teachers that have shared their skills and led classes and workshops through the Ohm Well. We’ve have some amazing instructors y’all! I’m honored that you allow us to be a part of your wellness journeys and that you all have been a part of mine.

I’m thankful for family that holds me down everyday! My sister Angela has been my day one and loves Marley just as fiercely. Gratitude to my patient partner and Marley’s Dad Calvin for recognizing that “food” is part of my love language and making sure I always have a latte close by. ? To all of my family, friends and yogis, I love you and appreciate each of you!

So much love to our Dancing Grounds family for providing a home for Black and Brown Bodies in Motion and being supportive in every possible way. Love and gratitude to our Friends of Lafitte Greenway family for allowing The Ohm Well to nurture and develop such an amazing yoga community!

Gratitude to my yogi mentor Lauren Darnell for helping me nurture my voice and helping me develop my teaching skills along with my Free to Be yoga family. Forever grateful to Lindsey Crowe for inspiring me to fall in love with my yoga practice and for Life Yoga for providing me my first yoga home.

We are so thankful for all of our many partners including but not limited to; Reyn Studios, The New Orleans Breastfeeding Center, The New Orleans Health Department, NORDC, Propeller, IWES, Lululemon, Auburn Seminary and so many more.

Now, I see even more of all of our hard work coming into fruition. I’m excited to announce that The Ohm Well is moving on up to a brick and mortar location!

*We will be the first yoga studio in Gentilly*

Our grand opening celebration is tentatively scheduled for January 6, 2020. This date has special meaning as it would have been my mom’s 78th birthday. More details soon.
